Homeless!

Well folks, it’s official. We have finally sold our home! After 3 months on the market we finally got an offer. Amusingly enough we ended up getting a second offer as well. We went with the first offer mostly because the second offer was a flipper and the first was a young family. I am so excited for them! It seems like such a short time ago that we were moving into our home with our two young boys. Xander was 4.5 at the time and Sullivan was nearly two. I was still nursing both of them! Now they are 16 and 13 and I can’t even believe how fast the time has gone.

The new owners signed the papers on Thursday and our home is now officially their home. I wish them many wonderful and amazing memories there!

Problematically we are not sure what to do though because we can’t find a home that will fit what we need. So we are going to be living with Dave’s mom a bit longer until we can find, purchase and move into a new home. It is such a strange feeling after owning a home for 11.5 years to not own one. It’s like a wierd kind of limbo. We are going to continue attending church at our West Jordan ward because it will be easier on the kids to only have one transition. I hope that’s not too wierd when the new owners move in.

I am trying to be patient but I am so stinkin’ excited to find out where we will end up! I have lots of hope that we will find the perfect home for us and it will be where we need to and are supposed to be.

February 28, 2012 - 8:21 pm Elizabeth Gerber - I'm so happy I found your blog! We are looking into adopting from India and I was wondering if you had any advice to offer. We live in Eagle Mountain Ut...looks like you live in Utah too? If you don't mind me asking. Which adoption agency did you use? I hope I'm not prying. I just feel so drawn to adopt from India(not sure why) but I don't know where to start. Thanks Elizabeth lizezgerb@gmail.com
