Progress!- House Project Day 6

Wow- after a couple of days of feeling stalled it feels like we actually made some progress today! We really wanted to wake up super duper early and attend our new ward today but we were really wiped out after yesterday and we took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in. We got started later in the day but we got moving pretty quickly on the painting. Things really sped up later in the afternoon when Angela and Chris stopped by to help us again! What a blessing to have an awesome sister and brother-in-law that are so generous with their time and talents! Chris helped Dave paint the stairwell which was a scary job literally. High high ceilings and no way to reach them! What a challenge. Angela and I painted the small bedroom and the rest of the master bedroom. I did mostly cutting in and she and Xander did the walls. In the evening my mom and brother A.J. showed up. They started masking the baseboards and windows and my mom started painting the woodwork. She did an amazing job! It looks great! I LOVE my gray walls. They make me so happy! Only a bit of woodwork to paint tomorrow and we will be ready for carpet!!! The main floor still needs paint but the upstairs was the most crucial because we couldn’t replace the carpet until it was finished.

November 26, 2012 - 4:49 pm Margaret Overton - It is GORGEOUS! I love the gray walls, too. It is going to be just soothing. What color carpet will it have? AND.....how DID you finally do the stairwell? I have one of those, too, and it is GROSS but I have no clue how to get at it and can't afford painters. I would like to hang a bunch of pictures on it. This is so, so pretty. Where is it? I mean, what is the address? Salt Lake has changed so much since I lived there I couldn't even find my own house last time I was there. It took ages and I got lost, no joke. I can't IMAGINE how much different it is now! Thanks for sharing all your fun news. It is great. Love, Maggie
