Donkey Hotee Helmets

As a family we have been studying Don Quixote. It’s a funny book and my kids just love it! We are reading the unabridged version. It will probably take us 5 years to complete! LOL

We decided we wanted to try to make a helmet similar to the one Don Quixote made for himself in the book. He really used cardboard and string but we used duct tape. I can’t take any credit for the design because Xander designed and helped each of the kids to make their helmet. My 6 yo wanted me to help him to write Donkey Hotee on his helmet. LOL Now all of the kids know how to correctly pronounce Don Quixote De La Mancha. 🙂

I'm impressed your family is studying it; we're doing fairy tales. I found a wonderful 12 book collection by Andrew Lang, and it's taken us three night to read a single tale. By the time the kids start going on missions we might finish it!
