Quick Update

I realize that I haven’t written an update here in a while. There is a reason for that. We have decided to sell our home and move to a new larger home. I have been working like crazy painting and dejunking and I probably will be doing a lot more of that for the next 6 weeks or so. If you know anyone looking for a great 5 bed, 2 and 3/4 bath, rambler in West Jordan feel free to put them in touch with us. With six kids and all their homeschool supplies we are just busting at the seams and we look like an episode of Clean House ready to happen! LOL

The nutritionist appointment went pretty well. The nutritionist was so nice and she felt like we were doing a great job, but with just a few more changes we could be really successful helping Virginia to gain weight. She didn’t want me to supplement or wean, YAY, but just to add fats to the foods she is already eating. She was officially diagnosed as “Failure to Thrive” as now her height has fallen off from the 50th to the 7th percentiles and her weight has not improved much. That doesn’t mean she looks sick or lethargic. They diagnose FTT BEFORE those things happen in order to prevent them from happening. I was kind of sad when she said it, but I am handling it now and making sure Vee has all the high fat foods she needs to help her grow. She is now over 16lbs! I hope to have her up to 17lbs by the time she has to go in again at 12 months old.

Virginia is talking like crazy now! Her favorite two words are nuhzoo(nuzzle, our word for nursing) and xaduh (Xander, her favorite brother). She shakes her head no whenever she doesn’t want something and she says Yeah when she does want something.

Well that’s all for now folks. I hope I can keep up here while I am working on the house, but I have a hard time making it to the computer. Wish me luck!

April 24, 2009 - 2:22 pm Brandi - She has such a sweet voice too! I have boxes for you in

April 24, 2009 - 2:22 pm Brandi - My baby decided I needed to send it early. lol I have boxes for you in my driveway. I don't know if they'll fit in my car, but I'll try to bring them with me tomorrow morning.

April 24, 2009 - 4:42 pm Sara - Are you going to move to the same area? We're kind of thinking and looking too. My only problem is that I want to be settled in a home to get ready for a baby. That doesn't leave us much time so we'll probably wait until after the baby's here. It might take me that long to get my house ready ;) We'll be in a 3 bed with 5 kids. Not helpful! I totally understand what you mean! I have books piled in the corner of my room and not another inch for a bookcase (and I probably need another 3 lol) Good luck! Glad to hear Virginia is gaining!
